Why PID?
Most confined space entry (CSE) monitors detect OFCH (oxygen, flammable, carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulphide but DO NOT detect volatile organic compounds (VOC's). VOC's are combustible and often toxic at levels far below 10% LEL. They are commonly found in fuels, oils, degreasers, industrial cleaners, paints and solvents, plastics resins and adhesive, pesticides, heat transfer fluids.
